What to do at Sutro Heights Park?
At the top we discovered Sutro Heights Park, which stands tall above Ocean Beach and looks out over the Cliff House, and provides expansive views of the city. Even in the fog, the views were awesome. We walked around the park, stopped for photos at the old Well House, and climbed the stone steps to the Observation Plaza.
Are the Lions at Sutro Heights still there?
The lions that once flanked the entrance to Sutro Heights still stand. There’s an icky bit of gating that takes away from their majesty somewhat, but you can still get a decent picture of them after cropping out the gate. Thank you, fancy camera phone!
