When should I replace my Bio-Wheel?
Bio Wheel does not need to be replaced unless it is damaged and should never be cleaned.

As it rotates, the Bio-Wheel exposes beneficial bacteria to the air, helping bacteria work harder and faster to keep your aquarium ammonia-free. The Bio-Wheel never clogs or needs to be replaced. All Bio-Wheel filters feature noise-reducing, two-piece vented covers and adjustable mid-level intake strainers.
Why did my fish filter stop working?
The most likely cause is that the air pipes of the filter are disconnected or blocked or the air pump has broken down (See Q1). Once the pipes are cleared or reconnected or the pump has been repaired or replaced – the filter will work again and the tank will clear.
Why is my canister filter not working?
Check the intake hose and make sure the canister is completely closed. Any leaks or holes will cause the filter to slow down or stop pumping water. Pinprick holes or holes that cannot be seen can occur. Consider changing the intake hose.
How do you clean a Marineland impeller?
To remove the impeller, unplug the pump and remove it from the chamber then pop the front cover off. Once the cover is off, gently remove the impeller. Swab out the little hole and thoroughly clean the impeller with warm water and white vinegar.
