Is RB26 faster than 2JZ?
The increased displacement of the 2JZ-GTE yields the same output but it achieves it’s peak power at 1,200 rpm lower then the RB26. The 2JZ also nets 31 lb ft torque more at 400 rpm lower then the RB. This hands the advantage to the 2JZ.

We won’t be swayed by popular RB30 parts, they need to be cost effective. Most of the highly tuned RB30s have forged rod and pistons and a crank now (usually RB25/26) so rev quite well but not usually above 8000.
Should I Turbo my RB30 GQ with a 25 or 30?
That aside, if you go with the 25 head, it lowers the compression in the 30 anyway. Its what I’m on doing to my Shorty… Im all for turboing the slow RB30 GQ.
