Should I buy the 24-105 II or 24-70 F4 kit lens?

Is the 24-70 still a good lens?
The 24-70 is as sharp at f 2.8 as the 24-105 is at f 4. Despite that I still think it’s a good lens depending on what your needs are (although I’m considering selling mine). IS doesn’t help with moving things, like kids.
