What does Lupron do to the uterus?
Lupron works by reducing the overall levels of estrogen in the body. Estrogen is what causes the tissues inside the uterus to grow. When you first begin treatment with Lupron, the estrogen levels in your body increase for 1 or 2 weeks. Some women experience a worsening of their symptoms during this time.
Can chemically induced menopause be reversed?
Chemical menopause is reversible. It will only push your body into a temporary menopause whilst you are taking the medication. The medication requires regular monitoring, and your doctor will discuss the length of treatment with you depending on your medical reasons for taking it.
