What does XLTE mean?

XLTE is basically Verizon’s version of 4GX; in other words, it’s just a way of describing how they’re opening up more LTE spectrum. In this case, Verizon bought a chunk of AWS spectrum.

Does iPhone 6 work with Verizon?

Theoretically, an unlocked iPhone 6 would work on Verizon’s 4G LTE network if you have an already active Verizon SIM. However, the phone won’t work if you are somewhere that Verizon only has 3G.
