Can I replace AT fiber modem with my own?
Yes, you can use your own router with AT Fiber but you need to use the gateway provided by AT. As long as you’re connected to the AT gateway through a switch or WAP, you can use your router with AT Fiber.
How do I connect to AT fiber WIFI?
1. Locate the AT broadband wall jack in your home (typically near the floor of the living room or closet). Connect one end of the GREEN data cable to the wall broadband port and plug the other end into the gateway’s broadband port. Use the BLACKpower supply cable to connect the gateway to a power outlet.
What is the difference between AT fiber and uverse?
Uverse is the name of ATT’s fiber optic network that consists of TV, Internet and phone. ATT also has DSL internet service but that is being phased out and those customers are being transitioned to Uverse when possible.

Can I use my own WIFI router with ATT fiber?
AT requires you to use their gateway for their fiber service. You can disable the router portion (pass through mode) and connect a much better router to it. There is also a way to use your own modem but AT will still charge you the monthly fee regardless of what you do once you signup for the service.
Where is my ATT fiber Box?
Find your AT Service Box (usually on the wall in the closet, living room, or basement). To connect the service box, remove the cover on the ONT (if applicable). The top 2 lights on your service box should be green.
