The 2020 Nasb is an excellent translation. Some errors in the earlier 1995 edition are corrected. Notably John 8:24 omits β€œhe” whereas that was wrongly included in the 1995 edition.

What verses are missing from the NASB Bible?

The sixteen omitted verses

  • (1) Matthew 17:21.
  • (2) Matthew 18:11.
  • (3) Matthew 23:14.
  • (4) Mark 7:16.
  • (5 & 6) Mark 9:44 & 9:46.
  • (7) Mark 11:26.

What is the difference between NASB and NIV?

The NASB is presented verse by verse whereas the NIV is presented in paragraph format, with the NASB on the left-hand side and the NIV on the right-hand side of the page. For roughly $40 (at least at this time), it’s equivalent to purchasing a fairly decent edition of each translation on its own.

Is NASB a good Bible?

The NASB ’95 is an excellent translation that falls closer to the “word for word” side of the translation spectrum, a bit far from the “thought for thought” style of the Message Bible. I recommend different translations that fall all across the spectrum to get a better grasp of what the Scriptures are saying.
