How does HT12E and HT12D work?

By using the paired HT12E encoder and HT12D decoder we can easily transmit and receive 12 bits of parallel data serially. HT12E simply converts 12 bit parallel data in to serial output which can be transmitted through a RF transmitter. These 12 bit parallel data is divided in to 8 address bits and 4 data bits.

What is HT12E and HT12D?

HT12E is used to encode the data for RF Transmitter and HT12D is used to decode the data received by RF receiver. Product Features. The HT12E Encoder ICs are series of CMOS LSIs for Remote Control system applications. They are capable of Encoding 12 bit of information which consists of 8 address bits and 4 data bits.

How does HT12E encoder work?

Simply put, HT12E converts the parallel inputs into serial output. It encodes the 12 bit parallel data into serial for transmission through an RF transmitter. These 12 bits are divided into 8 address bits and 4 data bits. HT12E has a transmission enable pin which is active low.

How does an RF transmitter work?

The RF transmitter receives serial data and transmits it wirelessly through through its RF antenna. The transmission occurs at the rate of 1 Kbps – 10 Kbps. RF receiver receives the transmitted data and it is operating at the same frequency as that of the transmitter.

What is RF encoder?

The RF module is often used along with a pair of encoder/decoder. The encoder is used for encoding parallel data for transmission feed while reception is decoded by a decoder. HT12E-HT12D, HT640-HT648, etc. are some commonly used encoder/decoder pair ICs.

How does RF transmitter and receiver work?

What is the range of 433MHz RF transmitter and receiver?

433MHz FM RF Transmitter Module with Transmit Range up to 300m.

What is an RF circuit?

Analog Circuit vs. Digital Circuit. An RF circuit is a special type of analog circuit operating at the very high frequencies suitable for wireless transmission. One salient feature of an RF circuit is the use of inductive elements to tune the resonant circuit operation around a specific radio carrier frequency.

How does RF transmitter work?

What are RF transmitters?

RF Transmitters are used to send a radio frequency signal and modulate that signal to carry data from a system. The frequency range is from 315Hz to 64GHz with a data rate of 3kbps to 2Mbps and a power output from -30dBm to 24.7dBm.

How does RF circuit work?

RF circuits are designed to mimic the standard circuit elements and some simple integrated circuits by constructing structures using printed elements on a circuit board. RF circuits can appear a bit foreign as they do not always use off-the-shelf components.

What is a RF circuit?

Digital Circuit. An RF circuit is a special type of analog circuit operating at the very high frequencies suitable for wireless transmission. One salient feature of an RF circuit is the use of inductive elements to tune the resonant circuit operation around a specific radio carrier frequency.

What is the range of the ht12e RF transmitter?

With the help of our friends HT12E (ENCODER) and HT12D (DECODER) and a pair of Rf modules of 433 Mhz. The RF transmitter with and a good antenna can sent data up to 500 ft (outdoor and no osbtacles)

What is ht12e and ht12d?

It is commonly used for radio frequency (RF) applications. By using the paired HT12E encoder and HT12D decoder we can easily transmit and receive 12 bits of parallel data serially. HT12E simply converts 12 bit parallel data in to serial output which can be transmitted through a RF transmitter.

What is ht12e encoder IC?

HT12E is a 2 12 series encoder IC (Integrated Circuit) for remote control applications. It is commonly used for radio frequency (RF) applications. By using the paired HT12E encoder and HT12D decoder we can easily transmit and receive 12 bits of parallel data serially.

What do the pins 1-8 mean on the ht12e?

1-8. Connected to gnd for enable comunication with the HT12E 9. VSS this pin goes to GND. 10-13. “AD” the IC use this pins for the output data that is sended with the transmitter, in our case leds for indicating receiving info and direct output for to connect a relay or anything you want.
