Are C and AA batteries the same?
C batteries are standard cylindrical batteries bigger than AA and AAA dry cells but smaller than D cells. The C-size cells come as both primary and rechargeable batteries. Know your batteries very well and the specific battery requirements for your devices.
Can I use D batteries instead of C?
The D cell batteries can give more current than the C batteries. If you needs lots of current and try to get it from a tiny battery, it won’t work as well. As for adding them together, you’ll notice that in most electronics, you put them in so that the positive end of one touched the negative of the other.
Can you replace C battery with AA?
These spacers will allow you to replace all your C batteries with AA ones, preferably the rechargeable kind. This is a great product to have available especially in the day and age when AA rechargeables are becoming plentiful and cheap and the C rechargeables are almost non-existent and expensive.

What are C batteries used for?
They commonly power electric flashlights, various cameras, radios, household alarms, clocks, remotes, musical instruments, numerous child toys and communication devices like two-way radios. Since they are larger than AA or AAA batteries, C batteries can power larger devices than their smaller dry cell counterparts.
How many C batteries do I need for 12v?
To make batteries with higher voltages, manufacturers link identical batteries in a series circuit. In this way the voltages of the individual batteries are added together, so six 2-volt battery cells become one 12-volt battery (6 x 2 = 12).
Are C batteries still used?
Down but not out, the C battery still has uses There are a few obscure places where the C battery is still a necessity. Mostly lighting, such as biking headlamps and flashlights, but nonetheless the C battery still dutifully serves!
How many volts is 4 C battery?
Most AAA, AA, C and D batteries are around 1.5 volts. Imagine the batteries shown in the diagram are rated at 1.5 volts and 500 milliamp-hours. The four batteries in parallel arrangement will produce 1.5 volts at 2,000 milliamp-hours. The four batteries arranged in a series will produce 6 volts at 500 milliamp-hours.
