Can I use LiPo on brushed ESC?
Beware of brush wear when using a lipo and use a low voltage device like a lipo BUZZER.. You will have to monitor your low voltage carefully if the esc doesn’t adjust it for lipo batteries. Running them down to Nicd lvc will pretty much destroy the lipo.
Can you run Lipos on a brushed motor?
So if you need to or want to run brushed motors with LiPo’s, feel free to, it won’t hurt anything(just remember to follow the basic rules to using LiPo’s, especially about not overdischarging them, they REALLY don’t like that)…..
Can brushed ESC run brushless motor?
You can run a brushless motor on a brushed ESC and vice versa.
Can you use LiPo with a NiMH ESC?
As such, LiPo batteries should never be used in any other mode other than LiPo mode on the ESC. NiMH batteries will work in LiPo mode, but there will be a noticeable reduction in performance that will suddenly become apparent as the pack starts to lose voltage (discharge).
Can brushed motor use 3S Lipo battery?
3S requires a strong transmission, 3S and brushless requires a bulletproof transmission. To answer your questions on reducing voltage, the short answer is no. ESC’s control power by pulsing the power delivery to the motor, but it’s always full voltage.
Can you use a NIMH battery with a brushless motor?
A motor, brushed or brushless, does not care what kind of battery is connected to it. Your nimh’s will work just fine.
Can brushed motor use 3S LiPo battery?
How long do brushed RC motors last?
1,000 to 3,000 hours
Brushed motor life is limited by the brush type and can attain 1,000 to 3,000 hours on average, while brushless motors can attain tens of thousands of hours on average, as there are no brushes to wear. The limiting factor is the wear on the bearings.
Can you use a brushed motor controller on a brushless motor?
Brushless motors require controllers that are completely different from controllers for brushed motors.
Can I replace an NiMH battery with a LiPo battery?
If you are replacing electric powered plane batteries, then lipos are a good choice. A 2S LiPo of the same mah should replace each of the packs you listed. The LiPo will be 8.4V but that should work OK for the 8.4 and 7.2 packs.
How many volts can a 550 motor handle?
Motor, Titan 550 (21-turns/ 14 volts) (1) The Titan 550 is a 21-turn fan-cooled 550 size motor capable of handling 14.4 volts. This powerful motor has a 30% longer armature than a standard 540 size motor for extreme monster torque.
Can you run on LiPo on a brushless motor?
they will work just fine. you already have the batteries, run them and enjoy them. if you want to shell out alot of money for lipos, you can do that too. is it necessary.
Do you need to break in a brushed RC motor?
Water is abrasive and accelerates the wear of the brushes and the comm surface, essentially taking life away from your new motor very quickly. Our motors don’t really require a break-in before use, but you can run them on low voltage (4-6V) for a minute or two both directions to seat the brushes.
Can a brushed motor handle 3S Lipo?
Anyway, unleashing 3S power on a regular brushed motor, optimized for 2S or at most 7 cell NiMh, will usually cause trouble.
