Are cloth diapers one size fits all?
They might come in Small, Medium, Large, or Size 1, Size 2 etc. varieties. They key with these is that they have snaps or velcro to close them in the front and no other adjustability. They are designed to fit specific weight ranges.
What size cloth diapers do I need?

How do you know if a cloth diaper fits?
A good rule of thumb is to have your diaper tight enough so no moisture escapes, but loose enough that you can slide in a finger. Remember.. a well-fitting cloth diaper will always be tight around your baby’s legs and waist no matter what.
Do cloth diapers delay walking?
We show that walking is adversely affected by old-fashioned cloth diapers, and that even modern disposable diapers—habitually worn by most infants in the sample—incur a cost relative to walking naked. Infants displayed less mature gait patterns and more missteps and falls while wearing diapers.
Do cloth diapers delay rolling over?
In my personal experience, my three children wore cloth nappies and they evidenced no delay at all – they rolled when they should, were all crawling at 6 or so months, and were walking at 13 months, 9 months, and 10 months. No real delays there (in fact a delay would have been welcomed for the younger two!).
How do you know if diaper is too big?
If you notice excessive gapping at the legs and waist, the diaper may be too large for your baby. Let your baby gain another pound or two and then try again.
Can cloth diapers affect hips?
The answer is NO! Cloth nappies keep a newborn’s hips wider apart than disposables, but this is actually the optimum position for a newborn. It’s important to understand how babies’/children’s hips develop to understand why cloth nappies (and ergonomic baby carriers/slings) help support the natural positioning.
