How do I reduce the space between columns in LaTeX?

You can reduce the gap between table columns by using \setlength{\tabcolsep}{1pt}. It may also be possible to scale a whole table as you can a piece of graphics, using \resizebox{!}

What is Extracolsep?

An \extracolsep{wd} command in an @-expression causes an extra space of width wd to appear to the left of all subsequent columns, until countermanded by another \extracolsep command. Unlike ordinary intercolumn space, this extra space is not suppressed by an @-expression.

What is Parskip in LaTeX?

The parskip package helps in implementing paragraph layouts where the paragraphs are separated by a vertical space instead of (or in addition to) indenting them. The package can be used with any document class at any size. By default it produces the following paragraph layout: Zero \parindent and non-zero \parskip.

What is vspace in LaTeX?

The \vspace command adds vertical space. The length of the space can be expressed in any terms that LaTeX understands, i.e., points, inches, etc. You can add negative as well as positive space with an \vspace command. LaTeX removes vertical space that comes at the end of a page.

What is Tabcolsep?

\tabcolsep is the space which is inserted before and after a column. Note, this means that the space between two columns is 2\tabcolsep .

What is Oddsidemargin?

The \oddsidemargin length is the extra distance between the left side of the page and the text’s left margin, on odd-numbered pages when the document class option twoside is chosen and on all pages when oneside is in effect.

What is a baseline skip?

\baselineskip is a length command which specifies the minimum space between the botton of two successive lines in a paragraph. Its value may be automatically reset by LaTeX, for example, by font changes in the text.
