How do transfer tanks work?

Basically the transfer tank is to hold additional fuel which can be transferred when need. They can operate in a different manner and the two most obvious are: The fuel is transferred to the main tank /tanker truck then used. The fuel is used directly from the auxiliary tank.

Can you put gasoline in an auxiliary tank?

The gasoline auxiliary tank connects into the factory fuel system through the filler neck hose. The gasoline auxiliary tanks install similarly to the diesel ones, however, it is not legal to gravity feed out of the bottom of the auxiliary tank with gasoline.
