How do you do the book trick?

The “Page, Line and Word” trick uses two or three spectators, handing one a book (the “reader”), another an envelope, and the third pencil and paper (the “writer”). The writer is asked to imagine opening the book and selecting a word at random, and then writes down the page, line and word number they imagined.

How does the book Test trick work?

The trick is for the magician to ask the person to write down their answer and put it in an envelope. Then, the next person is asked to imagine opening the book to a random page and write down the page, line, and word they imagined (the person will be guided to what the first person selected).

How do illusionists guess numbers?

First, they have memorized the way you wrote the number. It’s easy to tell by your pencil stroke what number you wrote. Then, they pretend to write the number that they can magically see in their mind’s eye with the ordinary pencil while you are writing yours.

  1. Tell him to multiply the chosen number by 2.
  2. Choose an even number to use yourself. Ask your friend to add this number to the one in their head.
  3. Tell them to divide the new number by 2.
  4. Tell them to subtract their original number from the equation.
  5. “Guess” the number.

How does the 13 card card trick work?

Starting with one more than the value of the card (counting Ace as 1, Jack as 11, Queen as 12 and King as 13), count out cards on top of it until you reach 13. For example, if the top card is a 7, place it face down on the table and then deal 6 cards face down on top of it, counting “8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13”.

What is the Best Card Trick Book for beginners?

The Royal Road To Card Magic is one of the most popular card trick books for beginners; and that’s for a reason. It is an easy to understand book that walks you through classic tricks and sleights.

How hard are magic trick books to read?

One of the big problems people have with magic trick books is that sometimes the text instructions just don’t cut it. It can be really hard to visualize what is meant to be going on, but that is solved with the addition of the DVD to the book. Highly recommended! Difficulty: Very advanced (gives me headaches…)
