What is Bio Gide membrane?
Geistlich Bio-Gide® is a collagen membrane for reliable bone regeneration and optimal tissue integration.1-3. The natural collagen structure of Geistlich Bio-Gide® permits prompt and homogeneous vascularization and so brings about optimal tissue integration and wound stabilization.
What is Biooss?
BIO-OSS is an allergen-free bone substitute material of bovine origin, used to fill bone defects or to reconstruct ridge configurations. Seventy one patients (39 female, 32 male) received 126 BIO-OSS implantations.
What is Bio Oss made from?
Bovine porous bone mineral (Bio-Oss Collagen) is a relatively new material used in periodontal regeneration. This material is prepared by protein extraction of bovine bone which results in a structure similar to human cancellous bone and has the ability to enhance bone formation.
What is Bio Gide?
Geistlich Bio-Gide® is the leading collagen membrane in North America for oral tissue regeneration. 1,2. It is used in combination with a bone substitute such as Geistlich Bio-Oss® or Geistlich Bio-Oss Collagen®.
What is Mucograft?
Mucograft® (3D collagen matrix) is also an allograft from porcine origin and is designed for soft tissue regeneration and considered the ideal solution to autogenous soft tissue grafts and it provides an ideal matrix for blood vessel and soft tissue ingrowth.
What type of graft is Bio-OSS?
Bio-Oss™ spongiosa granules size 0.25-1 mm was taken as the implant material. This commercially available xenograft material is a unique, natural, nonantigenic, osteoconductive bone matrix obtained from cattle.
What is collagen membrane?
Collagen membranes have been widely used in medicine and dentistry, because of their high biocompatibility and capability of promoting wound healing. Recently, collagen membranes have been applied in guided bone regeneration with comparable outcomes to non-resorbable membranes.
What is collagen membrane dental?
This resorbable membrane is a tissue matrix made from Type-1 bovine collagen. This collagen membrane delivers predictable bone graft in dental surgery procedures, filling bony defects, ridge construction, and dental implant placement.
What is Fibro Gide?
Geistlich Fibro-Gide® is a porcine, porous, resorbable and volume-stable collagen matrix, specifically designed for soft-tissue regeneration. 1. The collagen matrix is made of reconstituted collagen and undergoes smart chemically cross-linking to improve its volume stability while maintaining good biocompatibility.
How do you use Mucograft?
Apply the dry Geistlich Mucograft® to the defect; it will moisten rapidly due to marked hydrophilicity. Position the compact structure facing outwards and the spongy structure towards the bone or periosteum. Soaked matrix adapts spontaneously to contours and adheres well to defect.
Is Bio OSS xenograft?
Clinical evaluation of Bio-Oss: a bovine-derived xenograft for the treatment of periodontal osseous defects in humans.
Is Bio OSS Osteoinductive?
Anorganic bovine bone matrix (Bio-Oss®) has been used for a long time for bone graft regeneration, but has poor osteoinductive capability.
What is membrane resorbable?
A resorbable membrane is used to separate a bony defect from overlying soft tissues in order to create an unrestrained space in which new bone growth can occur. Before the use of resorbable membranes, those first developed were nonresorbable and required a second surgery for membrane removal some weeks later.
What is bio Gide?
What is resorbable membrane site?
What is a non-resorbable membrane?
Non-resorbable membranes are bio-inert and require a second surgical procedure to remove after bone regeneration is complete. Resorbable membranes are naturally biodegradable and have varying resorption rates.
How do you use Mucoderm?
mucoderm® should always be applied after rehydration (in sterile saline, defect blood, or platelet concentrates). Rehydration should be performed in a sterile saline solution or blood for five to 20 minutes, depending on the technique used and the desired flexibility of the matrix.
