Should I put my real name on DistroKid?
Typically, songwriters are listed using real names–not stage names or rapper names or band names. Don’t worry if you use a stage name–your real name won’t be displayed prominently. But it will be displayed when a listener views the “credits” of a song.
Can I release the same song twice on DistroKid?
Yes that should be ok. As long as the song still has the same song title, and artist name as before. You can release any song as a single, then on an album, then on a greatest hits. Just make sure it has the same song title and artist name across all three.
How do I add metadata to an album?
Edit music file metadata using File Explorer Open the File Explorer and point it to the location of the songs. Right-click on the song and select Properties. Click on details, and now you should be able to see metadata fields that can be edited. The fields include album name, artist, genre, publisher, and mood.
