How do I fix the sound on my Onkyo receiver?

Unplug headphones from the receiver when you are trying to use your system with the external speakers. Press the “Muting” button on the remote control to unmute your Onkyo receiver. Check the inputs and outputs to ensure they are correctly connected to the receiver. Adjust the volume controls so you can hear sound.

Why am I not getting sound from my subwoofer?

Ensure the subwoofer has not been muted. Increase the volume level on the subwoofer. Ensure the speaker settings on the stereo system or TV have been configured properly to use the subwoofer. IMPORTANT: Certain speaker settings may disable the subwoofer.

Should I hear sound from subwoofer?

Subwoofers let you feel the sound of the bass in a song, movie, or any other sound that you’re listening to. The lower the low-frequency response of a subwoofer, the stronger and juicier the bass. Because these tones are so low, some people actually aren’t even able to hear the bass that booms out of a subwoofer.

Do you hear sound from subwoofer?

While you may hear the bass from your bookshelf or floorstanding speakers, a subwoofer allows you to feel the sound. Listening to bass-heavy music like hip hop or EDM or watching a full-throttle action flick without a subwoofer leaves a lot to be desired.

How do I reset my Onkyo HT?

Press and hold down 2HOME until the 3remote indicator stays lit (about 3 seconds). Within 30 seconds, press 1RCV again.

What happens when a subwoofer blows?

Subwoofers are most commonly blown by supplying too much signal to the car audio amplifier. Too much signal results in a “clipping” which is when audio signals voltages reach amplifier’s power supply voltages. The result is a “clipped” signal and this can damage the amplifier and subwoofer.

What are some of the common audio issues that you might need to troubleshoot?

Most Common Audio System Problems & How To Fix Them

  • No Sound Or Distorted Sound From Speakers.
  • Surround Sound Directions Seem Wrong Or Audio Does Not Work.
  • Music Lacks Treble Or Bass.
  • Audio Volume Gets Too Loud.

Why does my Onkyo receiver click?

The accepted answer on the clicking is it a relay that shuts down and brings up the amps as the input switches from 5 channel to 2 channel, usually Dolby Digital.
