Is 12 mm laminate better?

Laminate flooring should be between 6-12mm thick. If you find thicker than 12mm, it’s an inaccurate measurement–possibly including attached padding. Is Quick Step a good laminate?

The uppermost layer of Quick-Step Laminate floors has an ultra-protective Scratch Guard layer, allowing you to enjoy your beautiful, natural-looking floor for even longer.

Can laminate be lifted and relaid?

Do I need to replace underlay when replacing laminate flooring?

If you’re laying down carpet or laminate, you’ll definitely need to fit underlay underneath. Vinyl, on the other hand, has a squishy foam or felt backing so it doesn’t require underlay, just spray adhesive around the edge of the vinyl for a loose lay, or HT adhesive for a full stick.

Can you unclip laminate flooring?

Is 8mm laminate too thin?

8mm laminate floor is one of the most popular flooring options. It seems to be the happy medium between thick and thin laminate flooring options and provides ideal stability and easy installation. The 8mm thickness is enough to overcome any subfloor imperfections and create a sleek flooring solution.

Can I use old carpet as underlay for laminate flooring?
