What is Squish framework?

Squish is a commercial cross-platform GUI and regression testing tool that can test applications based on a variety of GUI technologies (see list below). It is developed and maintained by Froglogic.

What is Squish for Qt?

Squish for Qt allows to connect test script functions to Qt signals and Qt events allowing a test script to react on application signals and events.

How do you record squish?

Now click Run > Record Snippet, which will make Squish start recording on the running AUT. Interact with the AUT to perform the new actions and, once you have finished, click the Stop Recording button in the control bar window to end the recording.

How do you calculate squish value?

The measurement of the squish is done by utilizing a solderwire with a diameter greater than 1,5 mm (ideally about 1,8 mm). This wire is placed inside the combustion chamber, then, by rotating the crankshaft the wire is pressed down to measure the exact minimum distance between the cylinder head and the piston crown.

How does squish work?

Squish runs a small server (squishserver) that handles the communication between the AUT and the test script. The test script is executed by the squishrunner tool, which in turn connects to the squishserver. The squishserver starts the AUT and injects the Squish hook into it.

What is squish in CI engine?

Squish is an effect in internal combustion engines which creates sudden turbulence of the air-fuel mixture as the piston approaches top dead centre (TDC).

How do I squish in Python?

Squish & Python

  1. you can extend the Python installation used by Squish to make more script modules available to your test scripts.
  2. you can change the Python installation which Squish uses.
  3. you can automate applications using the Squish script API in Python scripts executed via a standard Python interpreter.

What is aut in squish?

AUT Environment Variables. Squish recognizes its own set of environment variables which can be set to affect aspects of Squish’s behavior. Those that are used to control aspects of running and recording tests can be set in the Test Suite Settings dialog’s Environment tab as described above.

Why is squish important?

Squish is a key parameter for the performance and reliability of the engine. In general, the lower the squish, the greater the turbulence created in the combustion chamber, with the consequent optimization of carburation.

What is the squish area?

The squish in an engine refers to the air that becomes trapped when a piston is in motion. The squish zone refers to the 1 mm gap where the piston stops. This is where the air is pushed out at a high rate, causing turbulence in the combustion chamber.

Does squish affect compression?

A typical problem caused by having a low squish value is the loosening of the cylinder head nuts caused by pre-ignition detonation (knock) from the squish being set incorrectly, namely, having too little squish which effectively increases the compression of the engine.
