Who is IP EU?

IP Europe is a coalition of European innovators advocating for policies that incentivise investments in the creation of new technologies and businesses.

What laws currently protect IP in the Europe?

The patent protection of European countries through the EPO embraces the following characteristics:

  • In accordance with the provisions of the European Patent Convention, the patent application can be designated for protection in multiple countries.
  • European patents are approved in accordance with a uniform legal review.

The European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) administers the EU Trade Mark and Design rights, applicable throughout the EU. These rights complement national intellectual property (IP) rights and are linked to international IP systems.
