Does Pentax have flash?

You can use ANY flash with standard hot shoe with ME Super. There is no flash automation (TTL or P-TTL) with ME Super.

Does the Pentax me have a light meter?

No it doesn’t. You only have to do that to keep the meter active once you take your finger off the shutter release button.

Any old auto thyristor flash should be fine on the K1000. The camera’s flash sync speed is 1/60, so make sure you don’t set a faster shutter than that or part of the frame will be dark.
