One must have a TAP CARD to benefit from LA Transit system DAY PASSES, WEEKLY PASSES and MONTHLY PASSES for all Metro rail train & bus lines. (You can still pay $1.75 for each individual Metro bus ride but Metro rail rides must be paid for using a TAP CARD that you have pre-loaded with fare).
