Although a bit pricey (family of 4 $180 for 3 races), it’s well worth the price! Best go karts I’ve experienced and I love the fact that there is ZERO exhaust fumes and it’s all indoors, so weather is no a factor. My kids ages 9 and 13 had a blast as well! A must try if you’re in the mood for a REAL racing experience.
Are you allowed to drift at K1 Speed?

Well, don’t worry. At K1 Speed, go kart racing is safer than almost every other go karting establishment out there. Since our karts are much faster than what you’d find at a family fun center, we take every precaution we can to minimize risk of injury.
Can you bring a helmet to K1?
Yes, you can wear your own helmet at K1 Speed as long as it is Department of Transportation (DOT) approved with a full-face cover and equipped with a visor or goggles.

What should I wear to K1 Speed?
T-shirts, jeans/shorts and sneakers are appropriate attire for a day of go kart racing at the track. Keep in mind, indoor kart racing at K1 Speed is a very physical activity so dress accordingly!
Can you wear shorts to go karting?
We suggest something comfy and easily manoeuvrable so nothing restricting. Jeans, joggers and tracksuit bottoms etc are fine along with a top/t-shirt, jumpers and hoodies may be worn but you will get hot once on the track so ensure you have something underneath so these can be removed if required.
Are all K1 Speed tracks the same?
Each location offers a unique track available only at that location, so there are some slight differences depending which K1 Speed you visit. However, the majority of our tracks are around a quarter of a mile in length.
Are karting boots worth it?
The fact that they’re lightweight will give you an edge on the track because weight in karting really does count! If you’re the same weight as a lot of racers but they’re all bundled up in heavy gear, you’ll beat them out in straight-line speed if you’re in full kart attire.
Can you ride go-karts pregnant?
While pregnant you will probably already be experiencing some discomfort, and driving a go kart will only make that discomfort significantly worse. The bumpy and stiff ride of a go kart could also do some damage. It is simply not worth taking the risk.
