Can you still download Rocksmith songs?
As of March 31, 2020, 1,447 additional songs have been made available as DLC, 1,444 of which are available to purchase and download from the Rocksmith store.
Can you import songs into Rocksmith?
If you can BUY the game on PS3 or a third party reseller on Steam, you can still import the songs. Xbox One no longer works as the Import Tool was tied to an Xbox 360 item that no longer exists on the store. If you delete your Rocksmith content on Xbox you will NOT be able to reinstall the RS1 Import.

The Rocksmith interface is visually well-done, but also confusing in some sense. As a teacher and someone who has studied the guitar for multiple decades, I would argue against using Rocksmith to learn guitar. Specifically, where Rocksmith is your only learning source and only means of instruction. In and of itself, it’s not a full teaching tool.
How to use Rocksmith?
Rocksmith requires that you understand how to use colors to play the string. The E string is Red. A string is yellow. D string is blue. The G string is orange. Unfortunately, Rocksmith does not design the on-screen color to match up with the guitar string. This can become confusing when practicing.
