How old is Duraglass?

They date from the 1940s or 1950s. (This type of bottle was made in a large range of sizes – other sizes were made).

The term “Duraglas” was first embossed in cursive on bottle bases at some point during the year – so expect bottles with “0” date codes both with and without the word. Duraglas was a glass formula that was stronger than most previous glass mixtures.

When did Duraglas go out of business?

The result was Duraglas. The formula and the embossed cursive “Duraglas” continued in use until 1964, although engravers occasionally included the mark as late as 1970 or later.

When were Presto Supreme Mason jars made?

Presto Supreme Mason two quart clear glass canning jar… this is marked on the reverse Manufactured by the Owens Illinois Glass Company, and we’ve been told that it dates to the 1940s. It’s about 9″ tall, in very good condition.
