How to draw a microscope?

First of all sketch out a usual voluminous rectangle as in our example.

  • Now sketch out the upper part of the microscope that consists of an arm and eyepiece.
  • With the help of light lines sketch out three objective lenses. Make the arm a little more voluminous.
  • Move a little lower and sketch out the stage,knob and illuminator.
  • Now let’s start working with details. Draw out the eyepiece,hand and objective lenses.
  • Erase all unnecessary guidelines and draw out the stage,illuminator,knob and base.
  • Now let’s move on to the shadows. Draw them by hatching,adding them to those areas where the light does not fall.

    Base – the flat structure of the microscope that serves as its foundation

  • Arm – connects the base of the microscope to the nosepiece and eyepiece; used to carry the microscope around
  • Stage – the flat platform where the slide is put in place for viewing; can be adjusted via the coarse and fine adjustment knobs
  • Illuminator – steady light source

    Eyepiece. The eyepiece,also known as an ocular lens,is present at the top of the body tube.

  • Body. The body has a lens tube having eyepiece at the top and an objective revolver having four objective lenses at the bottom.

  • Stage.

  • Fine and Coarse Adjustment Knobs.
  • Aperture.
  • Diaphragm.
  • Light Source.
