How do I program HomeLink?
Press and hold the two outside buttons on the HomeLink ® system until the LED starts to blink, release buttons. While the LED on the garage door opener is blinking, return to the vehicle and press the pre-programmed HomeLink ® button 4 times. (Or until the garage door operates).
Will HomeLink work if car is off?
I noticed that Homelink in the mirror works even with the car totally off and in park. This is a very serious security issue given that if the car is accidentally left unlocked, or someone breaks the car window, they can open my garage doors using the Homelink mirror.

Press the learn, smart, or program button. Depending on the brand of your garage door opener, the indicator light may begin blinking. Within 20 seconds, return to your vehicle and press and release the programmed HomeLink button. Repeat the “press and release” sequence up to 3 times to complete the training process.
