When your membership lapses, we will send you a renewal reminder and you may pay the renewal fee by cash, credit/debit card or online. You will be eligible for a discount, at a rate as specified by the British Council, if renewed within 30 days.

Yes. If you have a Reader Pass you can study at the British Library, even if you’re not using any collection items.

Also, instead of having to pay a fee for membership of the library and for borrowing books and other facilities, the members can borrow reading matter from the book less library for free.

Is laptop allowed in library?
Newspaper is allowed for ground floor only. Books of other library is strictly prohibited. Readers are not permitted to bring their own books, floppy disks, CDs into the Library but no responsibility is accepted for their safety. Laptop may be allowed after the permission of competent authority.
Can we take our own books to library?
Longer answer: You have to first get a library card. Then you use the card to borrow books. However, not all books can be borrowed. Also, some public libraries are research libraries, where no books can be borrowed.
