Is Yasmin pill bad for you?
Taking Yasmin can increase your risk of blood clots, stroke, or heart attack. You are even more at risk if you have high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, or if you are overweight. Your risk of stroke or blood clot is highest during your first year of taking birth control pills.
When should you not take Yasmin?
If you are pregnant, you must not take Yasmin. If you become pregnant while taking Yasmin you must stop taking it immediately and contact your doctor. If you want to become pregnant, you can stop taking Yasmin at any time (see also page 15 “If you stop taking Yasmin”).
