Should you gap fill weatherboards?
Due to the movement timber weatherboards can experience through both high and low concentrations of moisture, filling the underlap can cause problems.

I’ve found that the Polyfilla specifically for weatherboards works very well as it handles the expansion/contraction issues. There’s also a Porion exterior filler that handles expansion very well. Epoxy’s fantastic too but it’s very expensive and can be a pain to sand unless you add microballoons to it.
