Magna-Tiles are a construction toy system. The pieces are plastic tiles of varying shapes that snap together magnetically, allowing users to build various geometric structures.
What are the blocks that stick together?
Bristle blocks have soft, interlocking bristles that stick together at any angle for frustration-free building. The 112 Piece Bristle Blocks are perfect to stimulate young minds.
Are Magna-Tiles good for kids?

Can a 2 year old use Magna-Tiles?
Please note: Magna-Tiles® products are intended for children ages three and up. If using our magnetic toys with toddlers under the age of three, adult supervision is required.
What is the difference between Magna-Tiles and Magformers?
Magnet size and strength Magna tiles have 2-3 rectangular magnets on each side. Magformers have 1 rounded magnet on each edge. This difference is what makes them incompatible. However, the magnets are of similar strengths.
Are Tegu blocks worth it?
These blocks are fabulous! Although they are pricey, they are well worth the money. Purchased them as a Christmas gift for my kids and they really enjoy them. The set includes a nice amount of various sizes, shapes, and colors so lots of different things can be created.
What are Picasso tiles?
PicassoTiles is a shape building set utilizing magnets that immerses children (and adults) into crafting 2D and 3D art.
What age are Playmags for?
3+
Age Range: MagnaTiles and Playmags are both advertised as being suitable from 3+. But from our experience, they seem to be safe for slightly younger children too with supervision of course (because the edges can be a little sharp).
What age is Connetix for?
Please note: Connetix magnetic tiles are safety tested and approved for ages 3+. Always supervise younger children when playing with any toys/ items that contain small parts.
What age are Tegu blocks for?
Tegu has many sets to choose from, and has recently branched into selling colorful, non-magnetic blocks, too. These toys are recommended for kids age 12 months and up.
Are magnetic blocks safe?
The high-quality ceramic magnets are safely secured inside each tile or 3D shape and are made with food-grade ABS plastic. Magna-Tiles® and Magna-Qubix® products are EN71, ASTM, and CPSIA approved and do not contain any BPA, phthalates, PVC, latex or toxic materials.
What works with Magna-Tiles?
The Playmags set is 100% compatible with the MagnaTiles and the kits are completely interchangeable. The magnets also seem to exhibit the same magnetic strength as the more expensive MagnaTiles, so the Playmags remains the better purchase all-around, and we would certainly buy them again.
Are Magna-Tiles and Picasso tiles the same?
Are Picasso tiles the same as Magna-tiles? These two tile brands are extremely similar but not identical. However, they are both very high quality. The most obvious visual difference is that Magna-tiles have metal rivets in each corner, while picasso tiles do not.
