Bruce Solomon and his daughter Anna are the owners of Solotel, and own some of the best known pubs in Sydney, including the Courthouse Newtown, the Darlo, the Golden Sheaf, the Bank, Bridgeview and the Opera Bar. Moran runs the Chiswick, Bondi Fish and Aria.
Are dogs allowed at Opera Bar?
On a side note, unfortunately, the Opera Bar and Opera Kitchen despite being mainly outdoors don’t permit pets. However, I’m sure some of the other outdoor cafes in the area will allow your dog to join you – just ask in advance.

What does a woman wear to the opera?
Look around the theatre and you’ll see women in cocktail dresses, men in chinos, corporates in business suits, families in their Sunday best and tourists in whatever-they-were-wearing-that-day. There’s no compulsory dress code. Wear what you’ll feel comfortable in.
Can you be late to the opera?
Is there late seating? As a courtesy to performers and our audience, we don’t offer late seating. If you do arrive late, you can relax with food and drink in one of our bars and watch the performance on a TV until intermission.
