What does 2 stars and a wish mean?

In short, Two Stars and a Wish solicits two stars—areas where the student’s work excelled—and one Wish—an area where there can be some level of improvement.

What is 3 stars and a wish?

Three stars and a wish is a framework to think about three stars (the things that you can do well) and a wish ( a goal of something you would like to improve in). It is a great way to set personal goals or to provide constructive and timely feedback.

What is TAG feedback?

TAG feedback is a great peer critique technique for writer’s workshops or essays. TAG is an acronym for “Tell the writer something you like”, “Ask the writer a question”, and “Give one piece of constructive criticism.” On a designated day, students bring in rough drafts of whatever they are writing.

What is the tag strategy?

That’s when I went back to a strategy my school used 3 years ago called TAG: Tell what you like, Ask a question, Give a suggestion. Originally used in writing workshop to encourage student interaction, I modified the strategy to work in my library.

How do you share peer feedback?

How to Give Constructive Peer Feedback

  1. Prepare. Before you even say a word to your coworker, identify the goals of your conversation.
  2. Avoid the “Feedback Sandwich”
  3. Do It Early but Don’t Catch Them Off Guard.
  4. Don’t Attack or Insult.
  5. Be Clear.
  6. Be Specific.
  7. Don’t Tell Them They’re Wrong.
  8. Use Non-Judgmental Language.

What is glow grow feedback?

Glow and Grows provide opportunities for teachers to provide feedback to student relative to a specific learning task that points out student strengths, while also providing specific criterian-referenced feedback to the student on how to improve his or her performance.

How do you beat tag players?

How Do You Beat TAGs?

  1. Steal Their Blinds. Having TAGs on your left is usually not a terrible situation because they are often going to give up their blinds without a fight.
  2. Defend Your Button. Remember, TAGs hate to play out of position.
  3. Raise Their Continuation Bets.

What is a grow and glow?

A glows and grows reflection chart is a simple concept: It’s a chart that shows a student’s successes on one side and their areas for improvement on the other.

Whats glow and grow?

Basically, students (or teachers) use a “glowing” highlighter (we use bright yellow) to show what was done really well, and a “growing” green highlighter to show areas that could use some improvement.
