Karstaag is a powerful foe and can prove to be quite a challenge, making him one of the hardest bosses in the game. He attacks much like a regular Frost Giant, using his club, fists and stomp attack, however, these inflict much greater damage.

Additionally, you should only attempt to fight Karstaag at a high level. This will vary depending on the difficulty you play on; however, don’t attempt the fight before at least Level 30, and level 60 or higher is preferable.

What kills Karstaag?

Use high damage weapons, like Dragonbone or Miraak’s Sword. Also, Marked For Death/Soul Tear is useful. Now, that’s pretty much the only real tips I have, other than run like hell, use Dragon Aspect alot, and summon dragons. Flame Atronachs are kinda useless, unless you wanna distract him.

Is Dragonbone sword better than daedric?

The dragon bone weapons all do more damage than daedric, but they weigh more (Longer to swing).

Can you fight Karstaag more than once?

Karstaag will also summon three Ice Wraiths at a time to aid him. Once you have defeated him you will gain the power to summon Karstaag, though it can only be used three times, and outdoors only.
