Only 3.4 per cent of Help for Heroes’ income is Government funded; the rest comes from supporters and public fundraising.
How much money does Help for Heroes make?
Income at Help for Heroes rose by 20 per cent last year, its latest accounts show, although the charity still recorded a £5.1m deficit. The accounts of the veterans charity for the year to 30 September 2019 show that it had an income of £26.9m, up from £22.5m in the previous 12 months.

What do help the heroes do?
We help veterans, and those still serving, by providing physical, psychological, financial and welfare support for as long as they need it. We also support families, because they too can be affected by their loved one’s wounds.

Does Help for Heroes still exist?
Rest assured, we continue to put pressure on the Government to do more. So far, with your help, we’ve supported more than 26,500 people, but we know that many more still need us. We won’t stop until every wounded veteran gets the support they deserve.
Is Help for Heroes still operating?
SERVICE UPDATE. Help for Heroes is no longer operating out of its’ four Recovery Centres in Tidworth, Catterick, Colchester and Plymouth. On behalf of the nation, Help for Heroes made a promise to support wounded veterans and their families for as long as they need it.

The £45million sitting in the bank means the charity can run its services for three years without receiving any more money. Donations have reduced since Britain withdrew from Afghanistan, but it is feared cash could be needed again if conflicts in Iraq and Syria escalate.

SSAFA is the Armed Forces charity, formerly known as Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association, and is a UK-wide charity that provides lifelong support to serving men and women and veterans from the British Armed Forces and their families or dependents.
How do I donate to help the heroes?
You can post cheques or postal orders, made payable to ‘Help for Heroes’ to Help for Heroes – Donations, 14 Parkers Close, Downton, Salisbury, SP5 3RB. Please quote your Event or Challenge registration number if you have one, and include your name and address (you can use our Donation Form to send us your details).
Is Prince Harry involved with Help for Heroes?
The Help for Heroes charity has reportedly been removed from its involvement in Prince Harry’s Invictus Games with the Royal British Legion taking its place. Despite its role in recruiting and training Team UK since Harry founded the first games in 2014, the Ministry of Defence has taken away the contract.
