The Ruger 10/22 Takedown’s action is held into the stock via one large screw, located in front of the magazine well. As built, the screw is a hex-head design requiring an Allen wrench to remove. Most upgraded action screws (such as the $6 offering from Volquartsen) are replacement Allen head screws.
