Can you use firelogs in a wood stove?
Do not use on a hot grate, on barbecues or in wood burning stoves. Do not move the firelog once lit. It is not designed as a heating product. Burn only one log at a time.

How do you use bio block firewood?
- Place four BIO BLOCKS flat in a wood burning device, leaving a space between blocks for airflow.
- Place three BIO BLOCKS over the spaces making a second row.
- Place one BIO BLOCK on top to complete your pyramid.

Can I burn conifer in my wood burner?
Conifer wood tends to spit excessively when fresh, so it is best used in wood burning stoves, again there are exceptions. Many conifers cause an oily, sticky soot to form inside the chimney which can increase the risk of chimney fires.

What are BioBricks made of?
They have developed a process to use dry waste like paddy straws, wheat straws and sugarcane bagasse to make bricks. It involves chopping the waste to desired size and adding it to lime-based slurry to make homogenous mixture. The mixture is poured into moulds and rammed with a wooden block to make a compact brick.
Can you burn pallet blocks?
Heat treated pallets would be ok to use as kindling, but you don’t want to be burning the ones treated with chemicals as they can release toxic fumes. Pallets that have been treated will have a stamp indicating this.
Is it safe to burn pine cones in a wood stove?
Yes, pine cones can be burned in wood stoves or fireplaces. But be sure they are dry to avoid popping and extra creosote buildup. Dry pine cones make great kindling and fire starters.
Can you burn Duraflame logs in a wood stove?

Are bio-bricks a good fuel for a wood stove?
My own take is that bio-bricks and other compressed wood type logs are a mixed bag in terms of use as stove fuel, IMHO they are OK, as long as one is careful to avoid over-firing the stove, which is very easy to do when using them.
Are brick stoves a good backup fuel?
The bricks are a fine backup fuel. But, in general to me it is too much like the pellet stove concept if used on a regular basis. It is a matter of choice. If you run out of seasoned wood in January any of these products is much better than ordering up a cord of csd wood.
