Broadway Casting Calls There are several options. If you have an agent, then your can agent line up auditions for you. If you don’t have an agent yet, another option is to go to an open casting call. These are posted online on websites like playbill.com and backstage.com.
How do you nail a community theater audition?
A few ways to stand out at a community theater audition: Interact with other actors when you’re reading scenes together. Embody the emotion of your song with your facial expressions and tone of voice (especially if you’re singing a song that doesn’t call for physical gestures)
Is it better to audition first or last?
If it’s closed, then going first will probably be better for your nerves and also people get more picky as the audition goes on as they may have seen good people and know they’ve got someone so you will have to make a bigger impact. However if they’re going to chose afterwards, then they’ll remember you.
