New Zealand uses the “TVI” system, in a two-line brand, using the symbols below….Thus, the first letter on all brands is “S”, followed by the state ID number, then the horses’ year of birth:

  1. 2-New South Wales.
  2. 3-Victoria.
  3. 4-Queensland.
  4. 5-South Australia.
  5. 6-Western Australia.
  6. 7-Tasmania.
