  1. Transport the amp upright. When lugging it around town, that’s the best position to keep it the safest, just like when it’s in use.
  2. Set it on a blanket, foam or rug to provide extra cushioning from the unrelenting metal van floor or bouncing trunk that can shake valves loose.
  3. Lock it in.

Just make sure the power tubes are on the bottom side. That way, the heat they give off will have to travel farther to get to the wood cabinet. A lot of times when I play with tube amps I set them on their side to disperse the heat generated by the tubes.
