How do you use insulatard FlexPen?
Insulatard 100IU/ml Flexpen is injected under the skin (subcutaneously). Your doctor will show you the area of your skin where you should inject it. Try not to inject on the same spot every time. Rotate between the typical injection sites, such as abdomen, buttocks, upper legs, or upper arms.
What is the difference between FlexPen and penfill?
NovoMix 30 Penfill is only suitable for subcutaneous injections from a reusable pen. If administration by syringe is necessary, a vial should be used. NovoMix 30 FlexPen is a pre-filled pen (colour-coded) designed to be used with NovoFine or NovoTwist needles.

Inject the insulin with the needle at an angle of about 90 degrees. If you’re thin, you may need to pinch the skin and inject the insulin at a 45-degree angle (see picture 4).

Unopened insulin pens can be stored in your fridge until their expiration date. Unlike vials, insulin pens shouldn’t be refrigerated once opened. Most manufacturers recommend keeping your pen outside the fridge and at room temperature once you start using it.
