How does TMEA All Region work?
TMEA All-State Beginning each fall, over 70,000 high school students across the state audition in their TMEA Region. Individuals perform selected music for a panel of judges who rank each instrument or voice part. A select group of musicians advances to compete against musicians from other Regions in their TMEA Area.

Is mixed choir better than treble choir?
A majority of students who were surveyed and interviewed chose the mixed choir as their preferred ensemble in which to sing. Auditioned choir members saw the treble clef choir as being even less prestigious than did the non-auditioned choir members.

All Region Band is an audition process that involves hundreds of students-Jefferson band students have already been working on their Region Music and scales since last year! The work will culminate in a clinic and concert for Region Full Orchestra and for Region Band.
How do I prepare for an All State audition?
Practice

- Learn your music slowly. I get it – you want to learn your music, like, yesterday.

Treble Choir is a choir that sings a variety of literature reflecting the best in music written or arranged for treble voices. The repertoire ranges from Medieval through contemporary music, both sacred and secular.
