What is wiper linkage?

Windshield Wiper Linkages synchronize movement between the two wiper blades on a vehicle. If a linkage is broken, the affected blade stops working. CARDONE 100% New Windshield Wiper Linkages provide a high-quality, convenient solution to this problem.

Can wiper linkage be repaired?

Car windshield wipers have a link between the motor and the wiper arm and blade. This wiper linkage can get bent and should be repaired immediately.

How do you replace bushings?

You’ll need to remove the rubber before you can install the new bushing. Use a socket that fits into the bushing, and push the rubber out. If the rubber is stuck, try separating it from the sides of the control arm using a flathead screwdriver. Place the new bushing in the control arm.

Are shifter bushings hard to replace?

The job itself isn’t too terrible. I rate it 2.5 out of five wrenches in terms of difficulty. A couple of things make it easier. One, if you buy a shifter bushing kit from one of your favorite BMW parts suppliers, it makes it easier to do a more complete rebuild of the shifter assembly.

How do I lubricate my windshield wiper motor?

Lubricate all moving parts, using silicone grease on rubber pieces. (Avoid using petroleum-based grease on rubber parts—it will deteriorate them.) Some wiper arms have a friction fit to the wiper post. To position the arms correctly, briefly cycle the power to the wipers to park them.

Why do my windshield wipers sound like they’re scraping?

Believe it or not, dirty glass is by far the most common cause of squeaky windshield wipers. Small particles of dirt, sand or road salt sprinkled across the glass can cause friction when the wipers pass over, leading to the unwanted squeaking. Give your windshield a thorough wash and rinse, then try the wipers again.
