Are Everhot cookers expensive to run?

Can you turn an Everhot off?
You can switch the Everhot to ECO mode when required and independently control whether ovens and hotplate are on or off in the summer. But remember the Everhot is designed to stay on and it does not save much money to keep turning on and off ECO.
Do you need an extractor with an Everhot?
Extractor / Chimney / Flue There’s no chimney, flue or vent from the Everhot so it can be postioned anywhere in the kitchen. Any steam or cooking smells are vented in to the room, just like most cookers so it is recommended (although not compulsory) to have an extractor above if you want to exhaust these to outside.

How long does an Everhot take to warm up?

The Everhot is a ‘heat storage’ cooker and it does take a little while for the ovens to heat up (2-2.5 hrs from cold, or about an hour or so from a mid-setting) so ‘ECO’ isn’t for timing your cooking, think of it more of a pre-heat timer for the cooker itself and set it up like you would your heating system.
Does an Everhot cook like an AGA?
In an AGA, the temperatures are fixed and if you need a different temperature then you use a different oven (or hotplate). In the Everhot you can adjust the temperatures (in 5 degree increments) to suit your preference, all independently.
