What does EH mean in Tagalog?

Non native here. E (often spelled eh) is used to soften a statement. A (often spelled ah) is used in a similar way but to calm the listener down. Bakit mo kinain ang lahat ng ulam natin? Gutom kasi ako e.

What is Sinta?

SINTA – an old-fashioned word for “love” Needless to say, it’s lost a bit of magic for me. But there’s something so beautiful about using a word from another lifetime. The Tagalog word “sinta” just rolls off your tongue. Next time, call your partner “sinta ko” or “aking sinta” meaning “my love”.

What does Lodicakes mean?

Filipino slang has a weird tradition of inverting the syllables of a word! So for example ermat/erpat means mother/father and lodi means “idol” and is often used on its own to compliment someone you admire! Recently people started saying lodicakes to make it extra sweet tho!

What does Nirereto mean?

to pair something up
[verb] to pair something up.

How do you Reto someone?

Putting it simply, “reto” is a form of matchmaking, wherein a person recommends you to someone or recommends someone to you. You are then set up on a not-quite-blind date, which is somewhat awkward because your friend said you two would hit it off…and sometimes the “reto” just doesn’t work.

What is Dasurv?

“Dasurv” is probably the most wholesome slang term of the year. It’s exactly what it sounds like – a sassier version of the word “deserve,” expressed when you think someone (including yourself!)

What does Hiraya Manawari means?

May your dreams come true
This is an ancient Filipino word which means “the fruit of one’s dreams, wishes and aspirations.” Hiraya is often used in one’s wish to someone, Hiraya Manawari! It means May your dreams come true! May your wishes be fulfilled!
