WHAT IS AN ACT sub score?

ACT Subscores. Both the SAT and ACT subscores provide students with detailed information about their weaknesses and strengths in categories more specific than Reading, Writing, Math, and Essay-writing (SAT) or English, Reading, Math, Science, and Writing (ACT).

Do colleges look at ACT sub scores?

Colleges see much of the same information as you see on your ACT score report: they see your composite score, along with your scaled score for each section of the test (Reading, English, Math, and Science) and your subscores for each section.
