What is the sound of ambulance in words?
One of the common sounds you hear on the streets is a siren: a loud, high noise that comes from police cars, fire trucks, or ambulances. It sounds like “Waaaaaahhhhhhh.” People living in New York City often call city officials to complain the noise wakes them up and makes dogs cry out loudly.
What do you call a girl that sounds like an ambulance?
Definition of ‘siren’
Why does a siren have a higher pitch as it approaches you?
The pitch we hear depends on the frequency of the sound wave. A high frequency corresponds to a high pitch. So while the siren produces waves of constant frequency, as it approaches us the observed frequency increases and our ear hears a higher pitch.

What is your opinion on firehouse sirens?
My own opinion of firehouse sirens are that they should be taken for what they are intended to be and that is a WARNING device . People need to realize that it is not there just to make a lot of noise and annoy them. It should tell them to be aware that some big red trucks with lights and sirens could be coming their way.
Do you activate your siren on fire sirens?
Our siren is activated on all fires and MVA’s along with our pagers. We run a BLS ambulance service also and calls for ems are dispatched by pagers only.
How often should a fire siren be tested in an apartment?
Having surveyed the current law on the matter, reasonable would be: once a week test during daylight hours, using pagers, radio or mobile phones to contact staff, using the siren for a general emergency alert affecting a majority of residents or failure of the usual staff notification system. Hope this legal impression helps.
